Thank you to everyone who went to the concert last night. ^_^ We had a really nice sized audience, and from what Meyer-sensei said, it was even better than she had expected.


And...she...also said that there was a scout there. Scoping out new talent, apparently. Mayumi-san said that they're looking to see us at our best, and that she's gotten a lot of invitations already to all of these prestigious music schools around Tokyo. She has a scholarship here, though, that she wants to finish out. I can't say that I blame her...

She's saying that soon enough, though, I should get more offers. Different schools, orchestra offers... she's said that if it wasn't for school, she'd be off traveling Europe with some fancy world orchestra that tried to scout her. That she gave up gymnastics to focus on violin entirely, and that it'd be hard to be considered, when all of them want you to practice for hours and hours a day.

She thinks...and...I can't say I haven't been thinking this myself. But she and Meyer-sensei think I'll go farther... if I quit the tennis team. Meyer-sensei already said they've asked about me, asked what I'm doing and where I'm going. I don't really know how to answer her.

It's something to think about...


Anyway. ^_^ I ...actually ended up having a wonderful Valentine's Day after all. And a wonderful birthday. Mukahi-san, those fireworks were amazing!
